Precision in motion: 3D milling with robotic technology

State-of-the-art CNC technology for complex shapes

MM Fräsen: CNC technology for complex shapes and quality

In the production of Maaß & Miszler milling, innovative robotics meets craftsmanship and creative freedom. Our 3D milling machines are among the most advanced systems of their kind: CNC-controlled robots with seven axes and a rotating worktable enable operations that set new standards in terms of flexibility and accuracy. This allows even complex geometries and free-form surfaces to be precisely machined from a single piece – without re-clamping, without compromising on dimensional accuracy and, above all, without material loss.

The fully automated, software-driven control system guarantees absolute repeatability and enables workpieces to be milled with maximum efficiency. Whether in series production or as one-off, items, this results in perfect surfaces, clean edges and shapes accurate to the millimetre. Whatever we do, it's aesthetically pleasing and technically precise.

7-axis milling: freedom of movement across seven axes

Thanks to state-of-the-art CNC technology, there are virtually no limits to creativity with Maaß & Miszler milling. We mill large-scale table tops with intricate engravings or three-dimensional structures that lend furniture and architectural surfaces a distinctive depth. Whether smooth lines or organic forms – every contour is created with millimetre precision based on a digital template. This means that even intricate reliefs, logos, patterns or photographic templates can be realised directly in wood or plastic. This process results in unique pieces that combine functionality with aesthetic sophistication, lending a very special character to the spaces in which they are later placed.

Versatility for materials and applications

The CNC milling robots at Maaß & Miszler process a wide range of materials: from wood, which we particularly value, through to plastics, composite materials and model-making materials. Each material is processed optimally according to its structure, density and strength. This results in workpieces that are equally suitable for architecture, industry, art or craftsmanship. This flexibility makes our manufacturing particularly attractive to B2B partners in sectors such as interior fit-out, exhibition stand construction or stage design, where precision and repeatability are essential.

Technology and craftsmanship in harmony

Behind the robotics lies a team that is as experienced as it is curious, perfectly combining programming with skilled manual finishing. Every step of the process – from digital preparation to the final surface finish – is monitored with the utmost care. In this way, technological precision and human sensitivity merge to produce a result that goes beyond traditional bespoke work: Together, people and milling robots create workpieces of lasting quality with a distinctive character.
